Are you still delivering furniture as a result of COVID-19 ?
Yes, Furn-On have continued to deliver throughout the pandemic including during the nationwide lockdown and local lockdowns.
We have worked hard to ensure all of our lead times shown on the product page for each item continues to be accurate, including our next day delivery products, however this is being reviewed daily by our team and can be subject to change. All lead times are shown in green for each product and will be delivered as per the delivery lead time. As it stands, deliveries are regarded as an important task and warehouse work can continue to be undertaken based upon current government guidelines providing staff are kept at least 2 metres apart.
You may experience a slightly different delivery service than usual. Changes include deliveries reducing from a 2 man delivery to 1 man to avoid transmission between drivers within the vehicle, products being left on your doorstep before the driver knocks and steps away from the doorstep to minimise contact. You are also not expected to sign for your product although would be expected to be present to take receipt, the driver would take a photograph prior to departure.
What are Furn-On doing to combat COVID-19 ?
Our warehouse staff have been fully trained in how to act responsibly with multiple sanitation points throughout the warehouse to facilitate regular hand-washing. We have also imposed restrictions on who can gain access to our warehouse to further minimise the risk to our staff. All office based staff are now working from home as per the government guidelines.
Whilst this is not business as usual, we are currently able to operate in a responsible manner protecting both our staff and customers whilst also ensuring we manage to deliver the high level of customer service our customers demand and expect.
What is the delivery lead time ?
All of our items have the delivery lead time shown in green and white on the product information page. This is kept as accurate as possible however although we have seen improvements, all carriers (both our carriers and others we do not use) are struggling to cope with the demand of items moving through their network. In addition, extra measures are sill in place within the warehouses, with the delivery teams and a reduction in staffing levels which has resulted in a reduction in the lead time items can be delivered within.
We have tried to regularly update this where we receive such information to ensure this information is accurate. This is however an ever evolving situation and one that we are continually monitoring to ensure accurate display of our product lead times. Where necessary, changes to the lead times have been made and will continue to do so as we experience changes to the service levels.
